Her new album will consist of 11 new tracks, all of which were either written or co-written by Tunstall, and it will be released on September 9, via the record label Caroline Records. Tony Hoffer served as the album’s producer, who has worked with such artists as Beck and Fitz and the Tantrums. The CD features her lead single “Maybe It’s a Good Thing” and her latest song “It Took Me So Long to Get Here, But Here I Am.” This new project includes a duet with Grammy-nominated artist James Bay.
Tunstall will be hitting the road in support of her latest album KIN this fall. Her tour begins on September 14 in Washington, DC and it wraps up on October 3 in Los Angeles, California. She will be performing at Irving Plaza in New York City on September 19.
It has been over ten years since Tunstall released her multi-platinum debut record Eye to the Telescope. Her music has been featured in film and television including The Devil Wear’s Prada, Grey’s Anatomy, Winter’s Tale, Ugly Betty and many more. She is best known for her signature song “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” which earned her a Grammy nomination for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” in 2007.
