Actor Kristoffer Polaha chatted about his new film “Missing the Boat,” which premiered on Saturday, January 31st on Hallmark.

The synopsis is: Strangers Kelly (Emilie Ullerup) and Parker (Kristoffer Polaha) both end up on the same Italian cruise, but after missing the boat during a stop, they’re forced to team up and race across southern Italy to catch up.

Polaha on shooting in Greece

Regarding his new Hallmark rom-com, Polaha said, “Shooting it in Greece was beautiful! It was a fun ride of a movie. ‘Missing the Boat’ is unlike anything anybody has seen on Hallmark.”

The romance is on point, but the humor is broad and big… it is Lucille Ball-caliber level. It was such a fun movie!”

Working with the director Maclain Nelson

“The director Maclain Nelson is able to push the boundaries with this film,” Polaha noted. “Maclain was able to create a movie that is both funny and endearing.”

Working with Emilie Ullerup as his leading lady

“Working with Emilie Ullerup was amazing! She is the best; I think she is the bomb,” Polaha exclaimed. “This is our second movie together.”

“We did our first movie ‘Hearts of Christmas’ almost a decade ago, and that was my first-ever Christmas film, and that was my second Hallmark movie ever,” Polaha admitted.

“So, I will always remember my first Christmas movie being with Emelie Ullerup,” he added.

Working with Craig Geoghan, Angel Garet, and Rustin Sailors

Polaha also had great words about working with Craig Geoghan, Angel Garet, and Rustin Sailors as part of the Season 2 “Finding Mr. Christmas” finale, where he filmed a scene with each (as they were all battling for the Season 2 title).

“I loved working with all those guys. Craig, Angel, and Rustin were all so great,” Polaha said. “I didn’t know who was going to win the competition, because they were all so unique and talented!”
