Kristii talks new single ‘Lightning,’ working with Chris Brown (Includes interview)

She was connected to Chris Brown through Raging Nation Films, which directs and produces music videos for all the top hip hop artists in the music industry.

Brown recorded the vocals for “Lightning” from his studio in Los Angeles, since Kristii lives in Austria, and they collaborated by phone to finalize the record. “‘Lightning’ is jumping to the top. I am excited about it,” she said. “We were in the studio at the same time together and have a phone conversation and recording. It wasn’t easy but we got through it, and it was really really fun.”

She continued, “Working with Chris Brown is a dream come true for me. We have a new sound. It was risky, but worth the risk to take. The sound is amazing. It is seriously something fresh, young and dancey.”

Kristii will be releasing the single over the summer, and it will include a few dance remixes and music video featuring Chris Brown himself.

Her previous dance single “Recovery” charted on the Billboard Dance Charts for a few weeks. “It had an EDM vibe, and it stayed at No. 8 on the charts for a couple of weeks, and I got so excited,” she said.

Most recently, Kristii walked the red-carpet at The Cannes Film Festival to promote a feature film that she’s starring in, and she was spotted hanging out with John Travolta, Paris Hilton and Milla Jovovich. “I got to meet John Travolta and Milla Jovovich. Also, Paris Hilton and I got to talk and we did photos together,” Kristii said.

The songstress will be heading out to Los Angeles next week, where she will be filming the music video for “Lightning,” and she will perform at LA Pride. “I am an eager artist, where I want everything at once, and I want everybody to hear me and see me,” she said. “I can’t wait to have more shows in the United States.”
