Kobe Bryant surprises Taylor Swift on stage

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kobe Bryant joined Taylor Swift on stage at the Staples Center to present her with a congratulatory banner for holding the most sold-out performances at the Los Angeles venue. The Los Angeles Lakers star basketball player presented the “Bad Blood” singer with a banner that reads, “Taylor Swift, Most Sold Out Performances,” for her 16 sold-out shows at the arena.

The Staples Center took to Twitter to congratulate Swift on her accolade, saying, “Congrats on record setting 16 sold out shows @taylorswift13! @STAPLESCenter raises a banner for you! #1989TourLA.” The L.A. venue also provided a video of Bryant presenting the banner to Swift. The “Style” singer also used Twitter as her platform for expressing her gratitude to the Staples Center, Bryant, and Ryan Tedder (who also joined Swift on stage that night, to perform OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars”). As she wrote, “It was a beautiful night in Los Angeles. Thank you @kobebryant, Ryan Tedder @OneRepublic, @STAPLESCenter & the fans!”

In response to Swift’s tweet, Bryant continued to offer words of encouragement, by replying, “My pleasure @taylorswift13 Keep breaking records and changing lives #1989TourLA.”
