Kenny Rogers helps fund-raise Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library‏

Parton long-time duet partner, Kenny Rogers, returned to Dollywood, in an effort to help raise funds and awareness for Parton’s Imagination Library, which is a book-gifting program for kids from birth to five years old.

Rogers went on to perform for a sold-out crowd, where he gave everyone a night to remember at Dollywood’s D.P. Celebrity Theatre. This show featured fans from all over the world as they made their way to Pigeon Forge for a chance to see him perform hits from his elaborate catalog, which includes “Coward Of The County,” “Islands In The Stream,” “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town,” his love song “Lady” and his signature tune, “The Gambler.”

In a press statement, Rogers praised Parton for being an “amazing person,” who has been able to ship over 70 million books. “I’m glad to be a part of this and I hope it helps,” Rogers exclaimed in a press release.

Ever-gracious, Parton expressed her appreciation for Rogers helping her with her project. “He’s always been such a great friend to me and I’m so happy that he made time to come to Dollywood and I know the fans just loved it,” the country queen said.
