Acclaimed actress Katey Sagal is killing it each week on the hit TV series “Rebel” on ABC. Digital Journal has the scoop.

The series was created by Krista Vernoff, and it was inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich. Sagal plays a character, Annie “Rebel” Bello, who is strong, bold, vibrant, and badass. Her acting is transcendent, refreshing, and she is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable.

She has good chemistry with John Corbett, who plays Grady, her husband who is divorcing her. She is a character that the audience loves to root for, and rightfully so.

Sagal steals every scene that she is in each of the four Rebel episodes (the pilot, “Patient X,” Superhero” and “The Right Thing”) that have been televised so far on ABC. It is evident that this was the role that she was born to play.

The Verdict

Overall, Rebel is a high-octane new TV series on ABC that is worth checking out. It certainly keeps viewers at the edge of their seats.

Katey Sagal is transformative as Rebel, Lex Scott Davis triumphs as Cassidy “Cass” Ray, and compliments to the show’s writers for bringing it to life; moreover, Jalen Thomas Brooks is impressive in the role of Sean. It deserves to be in consideration for Primetime Emmy Awards at a future ceremony. This series garners an A rating. Bravo.
