Actress Kate Linder (“The Young and The Restless”) chatted about her crossover appearance on “The Bold and The Beautiful.”

Linder’s character, Esther Valentine, will travel to Los Angeles to join “The Bold and the Beautiful” with episodes that will air from October 25 to 31. This has been a dream for both Linder and her character.

“I am thrilled,” Linder exclaimed. “It was an amazing experience. It was fun and great. I loved every minute of it.”

The synopsis is: Lauren (Tracey Bregman) brings Esther (Kate Linder) to Los Angeles to be a guest at the Forrester Creations fashion show because Esther has always wanted to own a Forrester original. “I cannot wait to see the episodes when they come out,” Linder acknowledged.

“Esther always wanted a Forrester original gown but Mrs. Chancellor [Jeanne Cooper] always had them, so this was a dream come true for the both of us: myself and my character,” she explained.

“I loved working with Tracey [Bregman] and Marie Osmond,” she said. “First of all, people forget that Tracey’s character and my character are family on ‘The Young and The Restless.’ Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is my son-in-law and that’s her brother-in-law. To be on there with Tracey was so great.”

“I’ve also worked with Marie Osmond before. Back in the day, I did a whole tap dance number on ‘Donny & Marie.’ It was wonderful to see Marie again and to work with her. The whole experience was just great,” Linder added.

Ironically enough, despite being on “The Young and The Restless” for over 41 years, this marks Linder’s first-ever crossover appearance on its sister soap opera “The Bold and The Beautiful.”

“It was such an incredible and fabulous surprise,” Linder admitted. “I was so honored to do it, especially to bring Esther from ‘The Young and The Restless’ over to ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’. It was just amazing.”

She went on to describe her character in three words. “Esther is loyal, a good person, and she doesn’t want to miss anything,” Linder said with a sweet laugh.

Linder recalled being a part of “The Young and The Restless” fan event this past August in Burbank, California. “That was so great,” she said. “I am always for that. I love seeing the fans; if it weren’t for the fans, our show wouldn’t be on for 50 years. That was really important, and I always loved being a part of that.”

She also revealed that she is “excited” for Lauralee Bell’s 40th anniversary episode on “The Young and The Restless,” which is coming up on November 2. “Actually, her show airs on my birthday,” Linder said. “I have a little part in there, so I am happy to be a part of her 40th anniversary.”

For her fans, Linder said, “I want to thank each and every one for tuning in each day all these years. I am so grateful to all of the fans, and I want them to know how much I appreciate them.”

“I know they will love these episodes on ‘The Bold and The Beautiful.’ First of all, they are beautiful. With these episodes, my character [Esther] and I have both had our dreams answered,” she concluded.
