Kaskade back with new video and remixes for ‘Whatever’

“Whatever” is a collaboration with KOLAJ, which is a song from his ninth studio album, Automatic, which was released on Warner Bros. Records and Arkade on September 25. The track has been remixed by NEUS, Robotaki and ATTLAS and it features an ambient soundscape of synths. “Whatever” encompasses elements of funk, new wave and disco.

The song’s music video was directed by Joe Pease and it was filmed in such locations as New York City and Los Angeles.

Next week, Kaskade will be attending this year’s Grammy awards, since he is in the running for “Best Remixed Recording (Non-Classical) for his “Galantis’ Runaway (U& I)” remix.

Throughout his career in the music industry, which surpasses a decade, Kaskade has earned five Grammy nominations; moreover, he was the first American DJ to land a residency in Las Vegas, as well as the first solo electronic dance music artist to sell out the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and the Staples Center. In 2015, Kaskade performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where his appearance on the main stage drew the largest crowd in the 16-year history of the festival’s existence.
