Actress Julie Ann Emery and the Kinnane Brotheres chatted about the new movie “Solo Mio.” They participated in red carpet interviews at Regal Times Square in New York City.

Julie Ann Emery is known for her acting work in such TV series as “Better Call Saul,” “Preacher,” Five Days at Memorial,” and “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.”
In the new Angel Studios rom-com “Solo Mio,” she plays the role of Heather opposite Kevin James as Matt.
The synopsis is: Left heartbroken in Rome after a wedding disaster, a stranded groom Matt finds his ruined honeymoon transformed by a determined local and a few meddling travelers—proving that sometimes heartbreak is only the beginning. As a result, Matt decides to go on his honeymoon solo.
“It’s very exciting to be here in New York, and it’s beautiful,” Emery exclaimed. “The last time I was at a premiere in New York was almost 20 years ago for ‘Hitch’.”
Emery on playing Heather in ‘Solo Mio’
Emery was drawn to playing Heather for several reasons. “I like that my character has courage at whatever age she is… to actually be honest with herself and with the people around her, and she goes after what she wants,” Emery explained.
On the lessons learned from the “Solo Mio” screenplay, Emery shared, ““You are never too old and it’s never too late. You have one life, so live it!”
For fans and viewers, she remarked about the film, “I hope they take away the following… we just have one precious life. Go after your dreams, and go after your life!”

The movie was directed by Charles Kinnane and Daniel Kinnane from a screenplay that was co-written by Kevin James, John Kinnane, and Patrick Kinnane.
Screenwriters Patrick and John Kinnane also spoke with this journalist on the red carpet about their inspiration to write this script.
On his inspiration to write this screenplay, Patrick said, “It was honestly an opportunity to make a movie, and we jumped on it.”
“This was a rom-com and it was not something that we would normally do or lean into, but we tried to do our best to make a rom-com,” Patrick added.
On the lessons learned from the script, Patrick reflected, “Life is precious… write down everything, and do your best to execute those ideas.”
“If those ideas don’t happen, then be at peace with them because everything in life is constantly changing,” Patrick acknowledged.
John opened up about working with veteran comedian Kevin James (as both an actor and screenwriter). “Working with Kevin James was amazing,” John said.
For fans and viewers, John stated, “From a story aspect, I hope they take away that everything happens for a reason, and that good things can come from bad situations.”
