Rising actor Jovan Armand chatted about his new film “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” which hits theaters on March 17.

Armand reprises his role as Pedro Peña in this DC superhero movie. “It was an amazing Shazam-tastic experience. I love everyone involved they’re my Shazam family,” he exclaimed.

He is drawn to playing Pedro for the following reason: “I like his relatability and taste in fashion as well as personality.” “His personality reminds me a lot of a younger me,” he explained.

The synopsis is: “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Regarding his favorite part of the filmmaking experience, he said, “Probably the adrenaline rush from practical stunts as well as the many moments where we would dance to Zachary Levi’s epic playlist.”

On his future plans, Armanda said, “My plans include saving for real estate investments, more projects in both film & music, I’m in grind mode.”

Armand listed the following actors as his dream collaboration choices in the entertainment business: Robert De Niro, Nicholas Cage, Antonio Banderas, Michael Peña, Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, and Seth Rogen.

On his definition of success, he said, “It means hard work, I would rather be known for my work and resume than my numbers on a social media app that doesn’t define my worth or value.”

Armand concluded about this new film, “I would like the viewers to consider being kinder to the people they love and consider family as well as be inspired by our diverse cast and message in the movie about foster kids, family. Most importantly, leading with love, because everyone can be worthy if given the chance.”
