Burrage has been nominated for the 2025 Chita Rivera Award for “Outstanding Ensemble in a Broadway Show” as part of the ensemble for “Boop!”

For Burrage, earning this Chita Rivera Award nomination is an “amazing” feeling.

Background on ‘Boop! The Musical’

The synopsis of “Boop!” The Musical” is: For almost a century, Betty Boop has won hearts and inspired fans around the world with her trademark looks, voice, and style.

Now, in “Boop! The Musical,” Betty’s (Jasmine Amy Rogers) dream of an ordinary day off from the super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an extraordinary adventure of color, music, and love in New York City—one that reminds her and the world, “You are capable of amazing things.” Boop-oop-a-doop!

Lessons learned from the ‘Boop!’ musical

On the lessons learned from the show, Burrage reflected, “I feel that ‘Boop!’ and Jerry Mitchell in general lean into joy and just the ability to not take life too seriously.”

“So, coming to work every day is truly the best time ever. I am learning to look at everything through a brighter lens, and just enjoy life a little more,” he acknowledged.

Working with Jasmine Amy Rogers and Erich Bergen

On working with Jasmine Amy Rogers and Erich Bergen, Burrage said, “I love Erich; he is the greatest. Jasmine is our Betty Boop and she is an incredible triple threat. She is the best of the best. We are very lucky to have her.”
