This Christian music-based collection will include songs of faith and hymns, as well as new originals and live recordings of some of Josh Turner’s most memorable songs such as “Me and God” and his signature tune, “Long Black Train.”
In addition, it will include a song that was penned by his wife Jennifer and his oldest son, Hampton, which is entitled “The River (of Happiness).” This collaboration features vocals from the entire Turner family (Josh, Jennifer and their three other boys).
Acclaimed bluegrass and gospel songstress Sonya Isaacs joins Turner on a duet of “How Great Thou Art.”
Turner describes this new musical project, I Serve a Savior, as a “dream come true,” especially since his fans and listeners have been asking him for years to record a Christian album.
The country crooner stated in a press statement that his “faith is the most important thing” to him. Turner expressed that he wants people to hear the heart and the sentiment behind this record; moreover, he wants them to feel the same inspiration that he felt while recording the songs.
I Serve A Savior is available for pre-order on iTunes.
