Internet personalities Joey Gizzi and Steven Lannum of AreYouKiddingTV chatted about their collaboration with Ed Sheeran.

Can you tell us about your collaboration with Ed Sheeran?

Ed’s team reached out to us and asked if we wanted to film a video with him in New York City to help promote his new album. It was a great experience and we loved how the video turned out.

What inspires your content creations? (What motivates you? Where do you draw from?)

We usually try to think of what kind of video would be funny, then figure out how we can incorporate that idea into our sign format. Knowing that the content we make has the chance to be shown to millions of people motivates us to make bigger and better videos.

What do your plans for the future include?

We plan to expand our content to more locations, make higher budget videos that continue to raise the stakes, as well as try to host more events and audience-interactive shows.

How does it feel to be content creators and social influencers in the digital age? (now with streaming, technology and social media being so prevalent)

It feels great to be able to do what we do and be a part of this exciting time in social media. We know it’s a competitive industry, so we’re grateful every day to continue to be doing this as our full-time job.

What is your advice for young and aspiring content creators?

Keep making content, even if at first it isn’t successful. It is very rare to grow an audience fast right away, but you will continue to learn and become better as you experiment, and if you keep grinding long enough you will likely find success.

Were there any moments in your careers that have helped define you guys?

Collaborations with people like Dan Povenmire, MrBeast, Craig Robinson, and most recently Ed Sheeran, have definitely helped us reach larger audiences and open up future opportunities with big names in the industry.

Also, a video we made in 2021 where we gave out a MacBook Air ended up getting over 50 million views, which really put us on the radar for people to know who we are and what we do.

What does the word success mean to you guys?

To us, success means achieving a goal that you hoped to get to someday. While we still have many other aspirations in the future, we believe we have reached a lot of success throughout the last few years.

What would you like to say to your fans and supporters that have been with you on your journey?

Thank you for continuing to support us throughout this journey, and we hope you stick around in the future; we have a lot of exciting plans coming soon!
