Jo Weil talks new film ‘Sodom,’ remembers Martina Servatius (Includes interview)

“We filmed all night, so I’m a bit tired, but it’s very good,” he said, prior to revealing that he has been working on his first English-speaking feature film entitled Sodom. “I am so proud,” Weil admitted.

Without giving too much away about his character, Weil shared that his character is handsome, wealthy and very caring. “Then you realize there is something behind all this. There’s something dark inside him, and he’s looking for something and we don’t know if he is ever going to find it,” he hinted.

His plans for the future are to continue working in London, Great Britain. “I definitely plan to go back there again. My plan is basically to work in Germany and the United Kingdom by doing more English-speaking work, maybe get the chance to work in the United States as well,” he said.

Weil fondly remembered his late co-star Martina Servatius (from the German soap opera Forbidden Love), who passed away recently from an illness. “That was really, really sad. I did not know that she was ill, and I only heard it on the Internet. We spent so much time together. We spent 15 years side by side, and that’s a very long time. She was somebody I really admired because she helped me when I was younger and I learned a lot from her. She was just a wonderful person,” he recalled.
