Moskaluke was crowned “Female Artist of the Year” in 2014 by the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA), and she was nominated for “Rising Star of the Year” and “Interactive Artist of the Year.”
In 2015, she garnered her first Juno nominations for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” and for “Country Album of the Year” for Light Up The Night. “I was actually in the Bahamas when I found out, which was a little tricky since the Juno press conference is only streamed in Canada, so we had to Skype someone in to watch the press conference to find out if we were nominated for not,” she said.
She will be a part of Chad Brownlee’s “When The Lights Go Down” tour. “I am really excited for that. That is my first cross-Canada tour. This will be my first time going across our beautiful country, so I am looking forward to it,” she said. “The tour is taking up a solid month of our time, and we are looking forward to the summer, and working on a new album.”
Moskaluke’s hit single “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes” became the highest-charting song on the iTunes Top 200 singles chart for any Canadian artist and was certified gold in August of 2014. As a result, Moskaluke became the first Canadian female solo country songstress to surpass 40,000 downloads for a song since Shania Twain. “That was incredible. There is no feeling like hearing that news, that’s for sure. It hasn’t been done by a female in a really long time, so it was pretty incredible,” she said.
She revealed that her music video for her newest single “Night We Won’t Forget” will be available on YouTube on Monday. “That is a really fun song, and people can relate to it and have a good time,” she said. “It was the most fun that I have ever had on a video set.”
