TV personality and fitness professional Jason Cohen chatted about “Dated and Related” on Netflix.

“My experience on ‘Dated and Related’ was amazing,” he exclaimed. “I take every day of life as a gift and to have the opportunity to go to France and film this beautiful show was an experience of a lifetime. The friendships I have made and even the personal growth that has developed from this experience has been phenomenal.”

“‘Dated and Related’ is a series ultimately about the internal bond you have with your family members in uncomfortable moments. You can edit this series or show multiple ways but the main idea of Dated and Related is being there for family and building a bond while putting yourself in a position that may feel awkward or just flat out uncomfortable. That is what puts a family’s bond to a true test,” he explained.

On his daily motivations, Cohen shared, “What motivates me each day is the chance to live my life. We all are gifted with an opportunity in life so go out and get what you are worth. Go adventure, once you find something you truly love doing whatever that may be, go chase it, be happy, work hard, and stay humble.”

Fitness

He also spoke about his passion and affinity for fitness. “My passion for fitness developed after I became a very competitive wrestler,” he said.

“I fell in love with the hardship of wrestling and along the way, I started building a physique. I later looked at building the body as art like sculpting. I really enjoyed the fact that the harder I worked, I could actually see the physical progression. After deciding to wrestle in college I decided I wanted a better understanding of the body. So, I graduated with a Bachelors in pre-medical science. Your health is your wealth,” he elaborated.

Digital age

On being a TV personality and fitness professional in the digital age, he said, “It is a great honor.”

Cohen continued, “Getting the attention of the public whether it’s TV or my physical shape is that I have a voice now. And I want to put that to a greater purpose. People always need someone to look up to.”

“I’ve been getting messages that I have become a role model and that’s all I want is to send a positive message to the world if that is being an inspirational role or life changing moment for someone. I want to leave that legacy here,” Cohen added.

Future plans

Regarding his future plans, he said, “My plans in the future include me pursuing scripted film work. I want to tell stories through pictures. I am a creative guy. I love expressing myself through different forms of art and using that to inspire others. Empathy and perspective are two very powerful things.”

He shared a career-defining moment. “One huge moment in my life career thus far that has helped define my path is the passing of my grandmother,” he said. “She passed away from cancer this year. We had an incredible bond. Death changes things especially through illness. When you experience something like that. Every moment in life becomes more magical because you realize how fragile life is. So, it changed my mentality in the sense that life is short and be extraordinary whatever that may mean for you to achieve,” he recalled.

Success

On his definition of success, Cohen said, “The word success to me means achieving happiness in a career you chose, as well as having a complete balance in your work and social life. I also believe in achieving something that is admirable to yourself. In that sense, you have a goal in your life that is essentially building confidence within yourself. This creates a sense of pride. This goal that you set to achieve you must have faith and or confidence in achieving that. This promotes work ethic to attain that goal. If these traits are implemented in your goals. That success is going to feel greater internally.”

Most recently, Cohen was featured on Power 98.5 Satellite Radio, where he was interviewed by acclaimed radio personality and PR expert Steven Cuoco.
