Janet Jackson scores second nod for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Jackson is up against fellow nominees Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, The J. Geils Band, Jane’s Addiction, folk singer-songwriter Joan Baez, Joe Tex, Journey, Kraftwerk, MC5, Steppenwolf, The Cars, The Zombies and rock band Yes.

Janet Jackson is the sister of the late pop legend Michael Jackson, as well as the youngest child in the Jackson family. She has sold in excess of 100 million albums worldwide over the course of her career in the entertainment industry.

The finalists for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017 will be announced in December of 2016.
