On her Greek heritage, she said, “My mom is Greek and most of my family lives in Greece. I was raised in Athens which is the capital city of Greece.”
When asked what she loves most about electronic dance music, she said, “I love the passion, the drive and the energy in EDM Music. It is a genre that has the ability to make you dance, take you on a journey and bring people together.”
Regarding her plans for 2016, she said, “Working on a lot of music for future releases and working on remixes! In addition to this, I will be doing a summer tour in Greece while also doing shows in the US as well. What are some of your proudest professional moments? When I first moved to the US approximately two and a half years ago, I took part in a competition called the iStandard Producer Showcase. This is a competition where producers from around the US present five original tracks and are judged by a panel of very highly credited producers in the industry. After competing against dozens of producers from around the US, I was announced as one of the two winners of the competition. This was a huge honor for me, and was really the first time I felt making a career out of my passion was a possibility.”
On her dream collaboration choices within EDM, she said, “I love collaborating with artists from different genres. My favourite thing is when I am in a session working with a musician or artist and I learn about the genre they do. In that way I can bring to the table what I do and we fuse our sounds into something unique.”
She will be going to Greece on April 15 for a series of shows and televised events, so she’s very excited. “I have performed in Mykonos several times and it’s one of my favourite places!” she exclaimed, referring to the Greek island.
When asked where she sees electronic music in the next five years, she said, “I think EDM is going to start becoming much more experimental, with producers and DJs fusing in other genres of music. It will be a very interesting time for EDM music and I am excited to see it evolve.”
For her fans, she concluded, “I want to thank every single person who supports me. Your support and love gives me strength and motivation to keep doing what I do. There is no greater feeling than when I get a message about how my music has related or touched someone, or when during a show I see people genuinely feeling my energy. So really a big thank you.”
