Cooter has been doing this professionally since 2006, and his future plans are to “bring the best wrestling he can to as many people as possible.”
He continued, “The fans are great and they recognize real and they have kept me going. I get so motivated from them. I love seeing the looks on people’s faces when they wanted to see me fail at something and I kept getting bigger and bigger. I wanted to prove to everybody that I could be the best.”
One of his proudest professional moments took place this past April. “It was the same night as the Hall of Fame ceremony for WWE, and the WWN had their own super-show in Dallas, and I was in a segment with Terry Funk, Sabu and Mick Foley. I was proud of the level that it was happening, and everyone’s reaction was priceless. I truly felt like I belonged in that moment, and was sharing a level of success with those guys. I was proud to be a part of that,” he said.
On Saturday, July 16, the farewell event for independent wrestling sensation Rage will be taking place in Woodside, New York. Rage recently decided to retire from professional wrestling. “Rage had a good run, and he did better than most. It will be a great show, and a great way to say goodbye to him,” he said.
Cooter defined success as “Being able to wrestle where I want and when I want and to live that lifestyle that goes with it.”
