They hail from Southern California, and they are a national Blink-182 tribute band, where they perform shows all over the country.
“We are doing great. We are having a great time,” Shawn Barry said. “We are happy to be on Long Island. It is great here,” Bob Amendola added. “Tonight is going to be a circus,” Amendola joked.
When asked which is their personal favorite Blink-182 song to play live, all three band members concurred that they could not select a favorite. “We love them all,” they echoed. Some songs that stood out though were “Reckless Abandon” for drummer Chris Collins and “Rock Show” for Amendola.
Another song that is special for the band is the melancholic “Adam’s Song.” “People cheer really loud for that song, even though it’s really sad,” Amendola said. “It’s a surprising song that we always think is going to bring the set down, but everybody sings the entire song, and gets really pumped up,” Collins added. “That makes it awesome,” Barry further added.
Each day, the band is motivated by life, and playing Blink-182 music. “Who couldn’t ask for more,” Barry said. “Honestly, with this band, everybody gets together for one giant party. We are there to have an amazing time with everyone,” Collins added.
Amendola continued, “I love the people that come out. If we don’t have the people, we don’t get to do what we are doing. When we have a room full of people screaming and singing these songs, then we have done it. It’s not about us, it’s about everybody here celebrating Blink-182. That’s what gets me going the most.”
For their fans, Barry concluded, “Thanks for the support, and thanks for coming out. It’s always a great time. That’s what we are here for.”
