Actor Adam Gregory chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about his new movie “A Fiance for Christmas” and the indie film “One of the Good Ones.” He recalled his time on “The Bold and The Beautiful,” where he worked with the iconic actor Ronn Moss.

On his new film, “A Fiance for Christmas,” he said, “I know Marie Osmond really well and we co-produced this movie together. She’s the perfect fit for that Christmas holiday film. Her audience loves her in that role. We found a good script and we put the team together. We went to Utah and we filmed this movie during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was a complex ocean to navigate.”

Gregory plays the role of Landon in “A Fiance for Christmas.” The screenplay is by Angeline Olschewski and it was directed by Ryan Little.

He enjoyed being a part of the indie film “One of the Good Ones,” which was written and directed by Chase Tarca and Jesy McKinney. He plays the role of Alex opposite Jesy McKinney, who stars as JJ. “I co-produced that with a long-time friend of mine,” he said. “It was a love letter to Los Angeles, and it deals with addiction. We weren’t really trying to do anything substantial but I really enjoyed that film.”

“It’s a beautiful movie that sums up the existence that a lot of us have had in Los Angeles. I enjoyed making that film. Jesy McKinney is one of those guys who is effortlessly cool, and I can never be that. Jesy approaches life with such ease and he is a really talented screenwriter,” he added.

Gregory had great words about his former onscreen father Ronn Moss, who played Ridge Forrester in the hit CBS soap opera “The Bold and The Beautiful.” “Ronn Moss is a super nice guy. He really guided me through a lot, especially being on a soap opera, which is not an easy task,” he said.

“Ronn really helped calm me down. He is such a calming presence, and he handles himself with such confidence every time,” he added.

On being an actor in the digital age, he said, “I am a fan of it. Having different avenues to show your work is great. We don’t judge our success on a theatrical release these days and that is really good. It is awesome to find new talent, and there are so many avenues to work.”

In his personal life, he is married to Sheridan Sperry Gregory, and they have two boys, and shared that they are both “great kids.”

Regarding the title of the current chapter of his life, he responded, “Getting Through It,” referring to the pandemic.

If Gregory were to do any track and field event, he noted that he would run the 110 meter hurdles. “I am tall so I would run the hurdles. I wouldn’t do long-distance hurdles because I burn quick,” he explained.

For his fans and supporters, he said, “Thanks for hanging out with me. I just appreciate them sticking around, being through all of it, and enjoying the things that I do. When people enjoy what I do, that really brings me joy.”

Gregory defined the word success as “time.” “Success is measured in time, and how much of my own time I am allowed to have,” he concluded. “The more successful you become, the less of your own time you get to receive, and that’s a strange and difficult balance.”
