“I’m feeling good. It’s good to be back in New York,” he said. “It feels magical. New York often can be a lot of work and really hard. Once in a while, it strikes you with that romance that only New York has.”
Fales played at the Metropolitan Room last month on September 11. “It was really dynamic to be talking about cults on 9/11. It’s almost now a holiday. There were a lot of things going on, but people came, and it was great to do this new version of Cult Model,” he said. “I think that I have a few things to say. I think there is a whole book that I would like to write called Cult-aholic.”
“Tonight, I am dealing with my own obsessive cult disorder. My pattern of needing an organization to give me structure. Maybe, what I’m looking for all the time is daddy, who can give us structure and approval,” he said.
The Greco-Mormon actor shared that he would love to make an album of these cult songs, which include songs about cult personalities and his cult rap.
Each day, Fales is motivated by his two children, who are both in college. “I spend a lot of time with my family, so they motivate me and so does my writing,” he said.
