Interview: Sharna Burgess from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ opens up (Includes interview)

Their contemporary dancing performance from yesterday garnered a perfect score from all three judges as Digital Journal reported. “I was so happy with it. Nick was really wonderful yesterday,” she said. “The baby announcement was really exciting. I knew for a few weeks now that Lauren was pregnant, and I knew that they wanted to tell the world. To see the love and excitement in both of them is really great.”

On working with Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys, she said, “It has been amazing to get to know him, and to really see the man behind The Backstreet Boys. He is an incredible husband and somebody that wants to be a really loving father. He is a really great friend and has so many beautiful qualities. He is a hopeless romantic, a sweetheart and a hard worker.”

Burgess is extremely pleased with launching T-shirts that support the children’s hospitals networks. “It’s really wonderful, and they are amazing. They like to bring them as many joys and miracles to children as they can,” she said. “Hopefully, we can make these kids really happy and make them smile.”

On January 6, Dancing with the Stars: Live! will take place at Beacon Theatre in New York City, where Burgess will be performing with several of her dancing cast-mates. “We are touring to 40 cities over the winter. I am certainly excited about coming back to New York. I think it’s going to be really exciting and I think it’s going to be bigger and better than the last tour. It has an amazing cast and there will be a lot of great dancing,” she said.

Burgess defined success as “Setting more goals for myself. It is creating beautiful moments in time that will be there forever through art, dance, movement and music. That is what I absolutely love to do. It is about having balance in life,” she concluded.
