Interview: Sammi Rae Murciano talks music career, future plans (Includes interview)

On being at Frankie’s East Side Gourmet Pizza, she said, “It’s amazing being here. Dan Romano is amazing, and I am so thankful for all his support and for believing in me.”

“I always liked to sing. I was in chorus, and I had a solo and I was in front of everyone and it was an amazing feeling, and I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life,” she said.

She credits Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Beyonce as her greatest musical influences. “They have such powerful voices, and when I sing, I try to put emotion into it, in order to make it the most powerful,” she said.

Her plans for the future are to create new music, film more music videos, as well as to collaborate with other artists. “I would love to tour, and my dream is to perform at Madison Square Garden,” she said.

“There are a lot of amazing male artists, but I would love to do something with Shawn Mendes, Nick Tangorra, Alex Aiono, William Singe and Conor Maynard,” she said, on her dream male duet choices. “I will be opening up for Nick Cincotta and Rapta on their North East tour. I am working on a new original song, and new music videos for covers that I recorded.”

On her daily motivations, she said, “Knowing that I get to get up everyday, and do what I love, which is singing. Also, getting up on stage and performing in front of everyone.”

Her advice for aspiring singers is to believe in themselves and never give up. “If you set your mind to it, you will be able to live your dreams,” she said.

For her fans, she concluded, “Thank you for your support and I would love for you to continue this journey with me. I am so thankful to be able to do what I love.”

Most impressive about Murciano is that she writes her own music. Her original song “Reflection” is available on iTunes.
