Interview: Natalie Nylon talks new EP ‘7th Heaven’ (Includes interview)

On the song selection process for her latest EP, Nylon said, “It basically came down to the ones that hit me the best and the ones that were closest to in my life. I picked the seven that made the album for that reason.”

She listed the title cut as her personal favorite track on the collection. “The song is about Hawaii and I completely fell in love with it, and it was an amazing experience and such a beautiful place,” she said.

Nylon noted that “Brave” was different than her previous songs, and it has an optimistic message to it. She shared that it was written for a four-year old girl.

Her song “XXX” has been featured on FX’s American Horror Story and on Showtime’s The Real L Word. “Oh my gosh. That was amazing, and a complete shock. That was the very first time that I had a song of mine on a television show,” she said. “I just write music because I love it, and it is a creative outlet. It really makes me feel amazing that people enjoy the music that I write.”

Regarding her plans for the future, the songstress said, “I am working on a new album, and I am working with a new producer, which is exciting for me. We are three songs into the new album. I am going to start playing shows again, and I will start filming music videos.”
