The film has received rave reviews from such media outlets as the LA Times and The Movie Guys. “That felt great,” he admitted. “The raves were across the board, and when they appreciate your work, you feel validated. I’ve been doing this for 36 years, and it makes you feel like you have something to contribute to the world of film and television. It is part of the dream of being a great actor. It was a risky project to make, but I had a lot of fun making it.”
It written and directed by John Fallon, and subsequently produced by Donny Broussard. “As an actor you study a lot of personal psychology and behavior and how that affects your being. The idea that your worst demons are manufactured in your own psyche leaves you with a lot to work with,” he said.
When asked what motivates him each day, Pare said, “If I get up every day, and try to make an effort to improve my character and to grow as an artist, then I’ll have a good day.”
Pare continued, “Actors manipulate emotions, feelings and behaviors, as our medium. When I’m not working, I’m studying acting. I still go to acting class, and I’ve never stopped studying.”
He defined success as a “feeling.” “I feel I’m a success because I believe I’m on the path of a normal actor. I don’t think acting is a burden. Success is a journey, and I found my direction in life a long time ago, and I’ve stayed on that path. I’m an actor,” he said, effusively.
