Interview: Margaret Cho talks Grammy nomination for American Myth (Includes interview)

This marks her fifth career Grammy nomination, but fourth in this category. Regarding her latest Grammy nomination, she said, “That felt awesome. It was so exciting. I will be covering the red carper for ‘Fashion Police,’ which is really fun. This is the first year that more women are nominated in that category than men. I am excited for all of us.”

She had nothing but the fondest remarks for the late George Michael and Carrie Fisher, both of which passed away this week. “I always wanted to be George Michael’s hag,” she said, with a sweet laugh. “Carrie was great. She was a magical person.”

Cho hopes to return to New York to perform again, and she shared that she would love to someday work with Lisa Lampanelli. “I love Lisa. She is fabulous,” Cho said.
