Interview: Levi Hummon talks new country album, future plans (Includes interview)

Regarding the song selection process, Hummon said, “For this EP, I honestly just chose the songs that I was most excited about. I have been playing these songs live and they have been getting some great feedback from the audience. I just wanted a good vibe and good messages and a happy, fun experience.”

Hummon listed “Life’s For Livin'” as his personal favorite song on the album. “It’s one of those songs, where the vibe and the lyrical content is all there, and it makes me happy listening to it,” he said.

For Hummon, it is a “wonderful” experience to be on the Valory Music Company record label. “I am blessed to be on a label with some amazing artists. The team around me is just super-supportive and I couldn’t be happier,” he said.

His plans for the future are to tour as much as possible this summer, in an effort to get the new music to the fans, as well as to someday win a Grammy.

He listed Grace Potter and Kelsea Ballerini as his dream female duet choices in country music. “I would love to sing a song with Kelsea,” he said.

“Thank you for sticking with me through this dream so far,” he told his fans. “I feel there are just big things coming up. I am excited to have new music out, and to share with you who I am as an artist and as a human being.”
