Interview: Kari Jobe talks Christian music, pregnancy and future (Includes interview)

This past August, she performed at Madison Square Garden in New York with Chris Tomlin as part of his “Worship Night in America” show. “That was awesome. That was my first time in the Madison Square Garden arena, so that was kind of surreal. What a cool night. It was sweet to be there with other worship leaders that I admire and that are good friends. It was really fun to be with all of them on stage,” she said.

Jobe just released a new album, and she shared that she is writing for a new project that is slated for release next fall. “I am pregnant, so that is also on my agenda. I am slowing things down for that. It is exciting,” she said.

Each day, Jobe is motivated by giving hope to people through her music. “I love to bring hope to people and encourage them to trust in God and put their hope in Jesus. There is nothing better than that, in my opinion. I love it,” she said.

For her fans, Jobe said, “Keep trusting in God and putting their hopes in Jesus, and take it one day at a time.”

She defined success as “Knowing that you have a lot that you still have to do.” “If you feel that you have arrived somewhere, then you are not dreaming big enough,” she concluded.
