Interview: Frankie Zulferino talks Pop Nation tour and new single (Includes interview)

On July 26, Zulferino will be performing at Gramercy Theatre in New York City, as part of the “Pop Nation” tour. “I am excited to be back home. It’s going to be really fun. A lot of my family and friends are coming to that show, so I am excited about that. I got to come home yesterday and see my family and that was really cool,” he said. “There are a lot of amazing artists on this tour. I got to meet a lot of new people and become friends with a lot of them, which is really exciting, so we are having a good time on the road.”

Regarding his future plans, he said, “We have been recording new music, and I have a single coming out this summer called ‘Pop Back,’ which I will be performing tomorrow at the concert. I am really excited about that. I have a lot of good things coming up.”

He intends to release the new song before the music video for the song comes out. He hopes to have an EP out in the late fall of 2015.

Each day, he is motivated by his “dream” to become the “best singer, dancer and performer” that he can possibly be. “That really pushes me to continue on, and to keep fighting for what I love to do and believe in,” he said.

Zulferino revealed that in order to stay in top physical shape, he works out a lot. He listed Britney Spears and Janet Jackson as his dream female duet choices.
