Regarding his new EP, O Edwin, Where Art Thou?, McCain said, “I am excited to start putting some music out in three to fourth month intervals, to give myself a deadline. I’m a terrible procrastinator and I know that. I’m trying to break out of that bad habit. These deadlines help me focus and finish work. This is the first of many three-songs EPs that I will be putting out there.”
This past May, McCain performed at B.B. King Blues Club in New York City, and his show garnered a glowing review from Digital Journal. “That was a fun show,” he said.
McCain is known for his signature love ballads, “I Could Not Ask For More,” and “I’ll Be,” the latter of which has been covered by everybody from Justin Bieber to American Idol winner Nick Fradiani. “Every time my song is on American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, my phone blows up,” he said.
McCain will be doing a four-day songwriting seminar in South Carolina. “We will be bringing in different songwriters to join us for each one, to help guide people into the process of songwriting,” he said.
The new Edwin McCain EP is available on iTunes.
