Italian DJ and electronic producer DAMANTE chatted about his residency at Zouk in Las Vegas, and being a part of the digital age.

What inspires your music and songwriting?

I’ve been making music for over 20 years now. Early on, I was really tuned into whatever was the trend at the time, so my first tracks were influenced by the “hits of the moment.”

Over time, I found my own sound and started focusing more on what truly represents me rather than just following trends.

That said, I still keep an ear on what’s on top and draw inspiration from it—especially in a fast-moving industry where people’s tastes shift so quickly.

My biggest inspiration comes from my surroundings and, most of all, from collaborating with other artists and producers.

There’s something special about the energy in a session that sparks creativity in ways nothing else can.

Can you tell us about your residency at Zouk in Las Vegas… how does that feel?

Honestly, it’s something I never expected—it felt impossible just a few years ago, and now here I am!

Having a residency is a huge milestone, and it gives me an incredible rush of energy and adrenaline.

Everything feels amplified a thousand times over. But I don’t see it as a final destination—America is massive, and there’s still so much to explore and learn.

I’m beyond grateful to my manager, Jared Garcia, who has always believed in me and made this happen. Having someone who truly supports you is a game-changer and keeps pushing me to grow.

Where are some of your favorite places to play around the world? And what’s a bucket-list event you’d love to play?

Honestly, I want to play everywhere! I love traveling and experiencing how different crowds react to different sounds. Every place has its own vibe, and that’s what makes it exciting.

Now, I’m focusing on the clubs because they are a very important milestone for every DJ but, of course, every DJ dreams of playing in the big international festivals and becoming part of that circuit.

For me, Burning Man would be an absolutely magical experience.

How does it feel to be part of the digital age? Do you feel more connected to your fans than ever, or does it take away from the live experience?

The new generations and how fast everything moves these days can be a little scary! But no matter how much technology advances, nothing will ever replace the feeling of live music—the energy of a festival or concert is irreplaceable.

That being said, social media and streaming have made it easier than ever to share my music with a bigger audience. The downside? Everyone has the same tools, so
the competition is intense.

What are your plans for the future?

Lots of hours in the studio, tons of new music, and more releases.

Honestly, nothing too different from what I’m doing now—I just want to keep growing, evolving, and getting better.

Where do you see electronic music in the next five years?

It’s impossible to predict. The genre is constantly evolving, and every big hit shapes the next wave of sound.

Right now, Afro House and Tech House are leading the way, and I think they’ll stick around for a while, but electronic music is always shifting.

What advice would you give to young and emerging artists? And which rising artists are you loving right now?

Don’t give up early -I call it resilience- don’t be predictable, and find your own sound, being recognizable is key. Also the competition is tough, so you have to keep pushing.

Right now, I’m really into Mau P and Dom Dolla—I love every track they put out. Clonee is also killing it, and his branding is crazy!

How do you stay in such great physical shape?

I wouldn’t say I’m at my peak right now, but I do follow a pretty balanced diet—I’ve cut out processed foods and sugar, which makes a huge difference.

I also try to keep a normal routine with at least an hour of exercise per week and six to seven hours of sleep a night. It’s all about work-life balance.

What does success mean to you?

For me, success is simple: living well and, most importantly, doing what I love while having fun.

That’s the real dream: turn my passion into my work and enjoy it every day.

What would you like to say to your fans who have been with you on this journey?

First of all— thank you! I’m so thankful for the ride we’ve shared so far, but trust me, the best is yet to come.

Get ready, because we’re just getting started, and we’re going to take things to the next level!
