Interview: Country singer SaraBeth talks ‘Full Speed Ahead’ EP (Includes interview)

On the song selection process for her Full Speed Ahead EP, she said, “I felt like some of these songs were the first ones that I wrote when I moved to Nashville, and I waited for the time to release them. Every song really has a story behind it, which is a really cool thing, since I went through them at some point in time.”

Her EP includes a cover of the Backstreet Boys classic, “I Want It That Way.” “I was still looking for a fifth song, and on St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to do a Backstreet Boys song and we wanted to give it our own spin,” she said. “When my guy friends liked it, that’s when I knew it was going to be something that everybody liked.”

SaraBeth’s plans for the rest of 2016 are to continue to tour. “On August 2, I will be doing my first full-band tour in the United Kingdom. It will be exciting to bring the rest of the band there. We will be doing 13 shows there,” she said. “In the fall, my brother is getting married, so I will spend some time with my family.”

For her fans, she concluded, “This is the first EP that I’ve really put out for a pre-order and had a campaign for it. It has been really cool to see people’s reactions and excitement for this project. I am incredibly thankful for all of my fans. They are loyal and the absolute best. They keep me encouraged and inspired.”
