Interview: Chloe Crawford talks ‘Mindfreak Live!’ at the Luxor (Includes interview)

Regarding the new production, “Mindfreak Live!” she said, “It’s awesome. I worked with Criss on ‘The Supernaturalists,’ so now it is great to perform every night with him at the Luxor. I did not see that coming at all. I feel very grateful to be back on stage with him every night.”

Each day, Crawford is motivated simply by doing magic every day. “I love what I do and I’ve always loved performing. Criss really took a chance on me and I’m grateful for that every day,” she said. “If you do something that you love, and you could make money doing it, then it’s the best thing.”

On her plans for the future, she said, “We are shooting a new television special, which is really exciting. It’s going to be a great year, a busy one, but a great year.”

The past year has been a whirlwind for Crawford. “A lot has changed in the last 12 months. Being on TV with Britain’s Got Talent and now with A&E. I feel very fortunate to have had these opportunities. I have been lucky that Criss has picked me for these projects. They are a lot of fun, and I enjoy every minute of it,” she said.

Crawford was a contestant on the ninth season of Britain’s Got Talent, and was the first female magician to ever appear on that reality competition. “It was a really great experience. It was the most stressful thing I had ever done in my life. It was crazy, trying to get everything together in such a short amount of time. It really helped me and it pushed me in getting that exposure. I got a really big following on YouTube and that started everything off for me,” she said.

Regarding her teleportation trick on Britain’s Got Talent with the motorcycle, she said, “That was a really fun trick. The reaction that I got for that one was awesome.”

Crawford had nothing but the kindest remarks for fellow contestant, Jamie Raven, who was the runner-up winner of that show. “Jamie did pretty well on that show. He had a different approach. He was doing a lot of close-up magic. We both got good exposure out of it. Jamie is a sweetheart,” she said.

When asked how she stays connected with her fans, Crawford said, “I post a lot. I am on Twitter, Instagram and on Facebook. I try to keep everybody up-to-date with what we are doing.”
