Interview: Carly Pearce talks debut single ‘Every Little Thing’ (Includes interview)

On her debut single “Every Little Thing,” she said, “I wrote this song a few ago about a guy who broke my heart. This song was just for my own self to really tell my story of losing him in my life. This song was about my inner battle in this particular relationship.”

Regarding her plans for the future, she said, “I’m in the studio right now recording my debut album, which will hopefully be out by the end of the year. I’m finishing up my radio tour, and I’m excited to get out there to the fans, and show them more to me than ‘Every Little Thing’.”

She had nothing but the kindest words for the New York radio station, NASH FM 94.7. “I love NASH FM. They are super fun,” she exclaimed.

When asked what motivates her each day, she responded, “I’ve genuinely always wanted to do this. I wanted to chase after all these dreams, and the sky’s the limit on where I feel I can go. It’s so exciting. I’m lucky and so honored with this opportunity.”

Growing up, she was inspired by such female artists as Trisha Yearwood, Alison Krauss (due to her bluegrass background), Faith Hill and Dolly Parton.

Pearce listed Dan Tyminski (from Alison Krauss + Union Station), Vince Gill and Keith Urban as her dream male collaboration choices. “Dan’s my favorite voice in country music,” she said.

“The fans are changing my life every day,” she concluded. “I want them to see the struggle that I’ve had and the work I have put in, and I feel it’s more of a friendship. The fans are making every little dream I’ve ever had come true.”

She defined the word success as staying true to herself, working hard, and hopefully, making an impact on people’s lives with her music.

“Every Little Thing” is available on iTunes.
