Interview: Amber Ferrari talks ‘Joplin’s Pearl’ tribute show (Includes interview)

Last night, Ferrari performed her critically-acclaimed “Joplin’ Pearl” at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in Patchogue. “I love performing my ‘Joplin’s Pearl’ show at Patchogue Theatre. The venue is awesome,” Ferrari exclaimed.

Ferrari is drawn to Joplin’s music due to its authenticity and rawness. “It’s all from the heart and soul,” she said.

Regarding her plans for the future, Ferrari said, “I am hoping to bring my show out of New York.”

While Janis Joplin’s catalog of classic songs is lengthy, Ferrari listed “Ball and Chain” as her personal favorite Joplin recording.

Ferrari has been nominated again for the 2017 Best of Long Island honor in the “Best Singer from Long Island” and “Best Band Non Cover” categories, and she has won both of these categories for three years in a row. “I am truly thankful for being in BOLI once again. My friends and fans are so loving and supportive, it’s because of them that I’m nominated as best singer and band non-cover once again,” she said, graciously.
