“I have been over the moon,” she said, with a smile. “Seriously, I enjoyed every moment of it. I released my third album, Alesta, I had two tours in Japan and a lot of concerts in Europe. At the beginning of 2016 I was on holiday in Costa Rica, and for New Year’s Eve, I was in Thailand. So far, so good. I’m happy that I can be who I want to be, fearless, full of love and happy.”
Regarding her future plans, Stan said, “I have an agenda and I wrote already all the important stuff that I want to accomplish this year, like new music, new collaborations, new holidays, a new website/blog and many, many smiles on my face. Life is good with me and I’m very grateful.”
Her music and songwriting are inspired by everything around her. “Everything that surrounds me, everything I see, feel or hear. You inspire me, my fans, this amazing nature and universe. I open my senses and I feel how the music fills me,” the Romanian songstress said.
Stan’s new song “9 Lives” is the last single from her Alesta album. “The video was filmed in my hometown, Constanta and I’m very happy with the result,” she said.
She collaborated with Jahmmi on the aforementioned single. “I really like discovering and supporting new artists. Been there, done that. I know it’s hard to have a chance to show the world that you are talented and you are worthy of attention. Jahmmi is a Bulgarian artist, very fresh and very keen to demonstrate that he is good as an artist and producer,” she said.
While she loves all of her songs, especially since they are “like her babies,” two of her favorite recordings include “Dance” and Cliché (Hush Hush).” “I love them, in fact I love all my songs. They’re like my babies. I take care of them in the beginning, write the lyrics, sing them, shoot videos and so on,” she said.
She listed such musical producers as Pharrell, Major Lazer and Timbaland as her dream male collaboration choices. She defined the word success as a “state of mind.””Success comes from the inside out. You have to feel it first and then to live it. Success for me stays in simple things, like that I am happy with myself, accomplished with my lifestyle and grateful for all the amazing people that I have by my side,” she said.
For her fans, Stan concluded, “Guys, you know that I love you, I respect you and I am who I am because of you, so thank you. Don’t forget that you are beautiful, each one of you.”
