Interview: Adventure Club talks new album ‘Red // Blue’ (Includes first-hand account)

On the song selection process for their latest album, James said, “We had a couple of songs in our catalog that we wanted to spotlight a little bit more, and then we really wanted to showcase all of the influences that we have been taking in. Half of the songs are geared towards the heavier side of music that we have been listening to. We wanted to write every song acoustically, and then we eventually put everything on computer and made it into electronic music.”

James listed “Ghosts” as his personal favorite song on the album. “I love how the instrumentation fits perfectly with the lyrical content of the song. I love the chords that are on the song,” he said.

When asked what motivates them each day, he responded, “We are blessed to have this incredible platform to voice our influences and to showcase our talent to the world. Just waking up knowing that we can do that is motivating enough. Even listening to the comments from our fans at the shows on how our songs have changed their lives in a positive way is motivation to keep going.”

They hinted that they will be returning for a show in New York City at some point in the New Year. “We love the response the fans have given the album so far. We know it has been a long time coming. A lot of the album will be played live to the best of our capabilities. Thank you for sticking with us throughout the years,” he concluded.

Adventure Club’s new album is available on Amazon and on iTunes.
