Interview: Actor Luke Scott opens up about ¡Figaro! (90210)! (Includes interview)

On his character, Scott said, “I am playing the role of Paul Conti, with Samarie who is playing Susana. We worked on the Act II duet that Susana and Paul Conti have, where she is trying to convince him to pay for her debt owed to the character Soon-Yi.”

“I was really honored to be here last year, when I first had a chance to do it,” he said. “I love Mozart and Figaro. I am excited that it has come back again, when there is so much going on in the political world. There is so much attention given to what is going on in our society in the United States. I am really excited to be up on stage expressing all this.”

He was privileged to work with lyricist Vid Guerrerio. “It was absolutely great. I love all the details that Vid did. He put a lot of work in the text and the lyrics to tell the story in an arc way through the show,” he said.

For aspiring actors, Scott said, “Don’t give up since if you are aspiring, it means there is some seed in you, where you really have a drive to learn this art and hone your craft. Don’t be put off and don’t be put down. If you feel like you are an absolute failure, just go home and go to sleep and get back up the next day, and start the next day fresh. As long as you do that, you will find opportunity to be part of that art.”

“If you are a Mozart fan, or a Vid Guerrerio fan, or a New York fan, please come and see this show. If anything, come back again and bring your friends the next time,” he concluded.
