Interview: 98 Degrees talks about ‘Thank God I Found You’ (Includes interview)

“Thank God I Found You” was a smash collaboration with Mariah Carey, R&B artist Joe and the pop vocal group 98 Degrees. 17 years ago, it reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the week of February 19, 2000, and it has stood the test of time.

Regarding the commercial success of “Thank God I Found You,” Jeff Timmons said, “It’s been 17 years since we celebrated our number one hit ‘Thank God I Found You.’ It seems just like yesterday, and although I had the good fortune of many great experiences with 98 Degrees, this one hold s a very special place in my heart.”

“Thank God I Found You” subsequently earned Carey, Joe and 98 Degrees a Grammy nomination for “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals” in 2001. The song is still a staple at wedding receptions and engagement parties.
