Gregori J. Martin is the executive producer, showrunner, creator, director, and head writer of the 23-time Emmy award-winning digital drama series “The Bay.” He chatted about the show’s seventh season, which kicked off on Monday, December 19 on Popstar TV.

“I’m very excited for folks to see these episodes of ‘The Bay’,” Martin said. “I know I say this every year but I’m more excited than I’ve ever been. The series is at a place I’ve always wanted it to be. The energy, the pacing, it’s overall the show I’ve  wanted to produce from day one.”

The prior seasons of “The Bay” are available on Tubi, Popstar! TV, Peacock, Amazon Prime Video, the Roku Channel in the US, and Ten Play in Australia.

In early 2023, it will available on Demand on Tubi, the ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox, with more streaming platforms to follow.

The synopsis is as follows: In a town cursed by the spirit of a murdered senator (Golden Globe winner and special guest star Bruce Davison), the residents of Bay City struggle after a shocking cataclysmic event leaves everyone wondering who lives and who dies.

Martin opened up about some of the new cast members that have joined his award-winning show this season. “I’m excited to have A Martinez as a series regular as I’ve been a fan of his since as far as I can remember,” he said. “My son Dante [Aleksander] is also now a series regular so that’s obviously something very special to me. And I’m excited for the fans of the show to meet Kiara Liz Ortega (Ms. Puerto Rico) who is assuming the role of Dre.”

“I am also happy to have Joe Lando and Bruce Davison returning as special guest stars this season,” Martin said. “It was also pretty great working with Draco Rosa, who as a Puerto Rican, has always been a household name for us growing up. So many actors I’m grateful to be working with on the show I would be here forever singing their praises.”

On his plans and goals for the New Year, Martin shared, “To distribute ‘The Bay’ all around the world, and a bunch of family-related things too.”

On May 20 and 21, Martin and his Emmy award-winning actors Kristos Andrews and Mike Manning will be a part of the Samantha’s Friends charity fundraiser GALA, which will have a “Marvel Madness and Avengers” theme to it. ” Sammy is just a doll and amazing supporter of all things ‘The Bay’ and it’s a great cause,” Martin exclaimed. “Who doesn’t love a good dog related charity? I love dogs and I love the acknowledgment and importance the Southeastern Guide dogs brings to the relationship between dogs and human beings.”

Martin concluded about Season 7 of “The Bay,” “I would want my viewers to get pure enjoyment out of watching ‘The Bay.’ This season we really take viewers on quite the roller coaster ride. So I hope they enjoy the journey. And in the process, hope they tell all their friends and family to watch too. Very grateful for their continued support.”

“The Bay” also recently completed its milestone 100th episode which will be released in 2023.
