Green Day scores No. 1 hit with ‘Bang Bang’ single

It is the lead single from their No. 1 album, Revolution Radio, as well as their tenth chart-topping single. “Bang Bang,” which was written by Green Day, it peaked at No. 1 on the both the BDS and the Mediabase Alternative charts.

Their music video for “Bang Bang,” which was inspired by gun violence in America, was released on September 13, 2016, and it was directed by Tim Armstrong.

Their album has received favorable reviews from music critics. It was recorded in Oakland and it was produced by the band.

Green Day is now tied with the Foo Fighters in third place for the most No. 1 hits on the alternative charts. Their songs have spent a cumulative total of 51 weeks at No. 1 on those aforementioned charts, proving that they are a true force to be reckoned with.
