According to The Hollywood Reporter, Heir is taking sign-ups for access, and it allows its users to vote hip-hop songs up or down. In doing so, users will earn digital currency, which is known as “Crown.” The only downside if that voting for a track that most people don’t like cause lead to a user losing their “Crown.” The goal for Heir is to help the hip-hop industry to keep their fans and listeners engaged.
As indicated in Engadget, users can vote the hip-hop tracks up by using a fire emoji, or they can give them a thumbs down by using a skull and crossbones. Pusha T’s advisors for this app include executives from Def Jam Records and Epic Records.
Other recording artists that have made their way in the tech world include Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, who created “Beats Electronics,” which was subsequently sold to Apple for $3 billion. This move helped Dr. Drew become the first billionaire in hip-hop music.
In addition, multi-faceted entertainer and creative innovator will.i.am (founder of The Black Eyed Peas) collaborated with Intel, and they formed the i.am+ foto.soho, an iPhone case that drastically improves quality.
