Grace Valerie talks ‘See How We Run,’ Justin Timberlake, Usher (Includes interview)

Regarding her new single “See How We Run,” she said, “One day Brandon Paddock, Klaypex ( my producers) and I were at the studio, they played me the beat, I loved it and asked Brandon to co-write the song with me! We came up with lyrics, recorded my vocals and made ‘See How We Run’ then and there.”

She added, “My new single is about the power of love! Seek love, believe in yourself and first of all, love yourself.”

Her plans for the future include a great deal of traveling, recording an EP, as well as filming. Each day, she is motivated by her fans, family and friends. “I don’t want to stop learning new things and evolving, and of course, my faith in God,” she said.

The songstress’ greatest musical influences include Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, all of which she praised as “powerful voices” and “great entertainers.”

Her proudest moments in her music career include securing millions of views on her music, as well as charting on the Billboard charts.

For aspiring musicians, she said, “Work daily on your craft, stay true to yourself and never give up.”

Her dream male duet partners include Usher and Justin Timberlake. “Usher’s voice is everything and I love his music. Justin Timberlake is just everything,” she said.

On her upcoming music video, she said, “It’s a pretty dang good video. We shot it in LA! It has such beautiful scenery and a very sexy lead actor, my good friend Oskar Rodriguez.”

In the past, she collaborated with Randy Jackson and Lil Jon’s team. “We created some great music with Randy. He is awesome. And now I am super excited to keep making music with Lil Jon’s team and other great musicians,” she said.
