Fox’s Version of The Daily Show

Something about “The Half-Hour News Show” doesn’t click with me…and not because I don’t side with the ideological leanings. The humour picks on an easy target, the punchlines aren’t delivered well, and the hosts have all the charisma of moist bread.

Also, you can tell there’s no live audience, just canned hams. What makes The Daily Show so endearing is the genuine laughter from the audience, which is often only a giggle if the humour doesn’t hit home.

Do you think this Fox show will have legs to go a full season?

It airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. (EST).
