Faith Hill sat down and chatted with this journalist at Joanne Trattoria about being an entertainer, content creator, and influencer in the digital age.

Margaret Mead once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” This quote applies to Faith Hill.

On being at Joanne Trattoria in the Upper West Side of New York, Hill said, “It feels great; the energy and the vibe is just electric! I love it. Everybody is very pleasant and welcoming and I am excited to see the performers.”

The digital age

On being an influencer and entertainer in the digital age, now with streaming, technology and social media being so prevalent, she said, “I feel really special. The fact that social media has accepted me for who I am, my story, and where I’ve come from, is just an incredible feeling that I get to live and experience.”

“The digital age feels good because it’s fast; you can connect with people at a speed like no other, and it connects you with people from all over the world,” she noted.

“It brings in connection with people from all over the globe. I have a fan-base from all over the place and I wouldn’t be able to reach them if it weren’t for the digital age,” she added.

Defining moments

On her defining moments, Hill shared, “I think there was a moment in my journey that helped define who I was. When I was first starting out, I had two really great friends with me at the time. We were traveling to Miami, and they inspired me to be my authentic self. I think that really, really helped me.”

Advice for young and aspiring entertainers and influencers

For young and emerging entertainers and influencers, she encouraged them to be “authentic.”

“If you are trying to be someone you are not, then you are never going to find an audience that is going to value you for who you are,” she acknowledged.

“I think social media is shifting to authenticity more… the rugged, real aspects of one’s life that people want to be able to relate to. I think a lot of people ought to share more of those moments,” she added.

Stage of her life

On the title of the current chapter of her life, Hill revealed, “Phoenix.”

“Rising from the ashes,” she noted. “I really feel like everything I’ve gone through allows me to appreciate all of the great things in my life. It has been really amazing!”

Superpower of choice

If she were to have any superpower, it would be “invisible.” “I would love to be invisible,” she admitted.

Success

On her definition of the word success, Hill stated, “Success isn’t necessarily one thing you do or something you accomplish, I think it’s a feeling that you have from all of those things put together.”

“Success looks different for many different people, and I am exceeding and succeeding in life by being happy with where I am. Success is about fulfillment,” she explained.

Message for her fans and supporters

For her fans and supporters, Hill expressed, “I would like to give them more than a million ‘thank yous.’ My unconditional gratitude and love to them. I really appreciative of them sharing their vulnerable stories from their struggles and everything they’ve been through.”

“So, to be able to help people in a really meaningful way, is really surprising to me, in the best way possible,” she concluded.
