Award-winning actor Erik Fellows (“Purgatory”) chatted about guest starring in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on Peacock, as well as working with Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay.
‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’
On being a part of the primetime drama series “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” he said, “Well, first I will say it was always my dream to work on one of the ‘Law & Order’ series! Especially getting to work with both Christopher and Mariska!”
“I had an amazing experience working on the show, I love the character I got to play and content I was given,” Fellows exclaimed.
“It was a fantastic set up and arc for my character and the show, especially being the Season 5 premiere episode and leading into episode 502,” he noted.
“It was an amazing cast and crew! Just an actor’s dream. I am very grateful for the opportunity and experience,” he added.
Playing Steve Kingman
On playing the nefarious character Steve Kingman, Fellows revealed, “I only have good things to say about the character I got to play, Steve Kingman.”
“Even though I was playing a bad guy, I loved the character arc I was given,” he said with a sweet laugh. “I owe that opportunity to Chris Meloni who actually wrote the first two episodes that I was apart of.”
“Steve had a lot of style and edge to him, which gave me more to play with as an actor, which is always amazing for any actor getting the opportunity to play a bad guy or villain,” Fellows elaborated.
Working with Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay
On working with Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay, Fellow said, “Again, it was a dream come true. I have been watching ‘Law & Order: SVU’ for many years especially back in the Stabler and Benson days together.”
“I always thought to myself ‘how awesome it would be to be interrogated by the both of them,’ and boom, it happened! They are nothing short of amazing to work with,” he admitted.
“They gave me some great pointers while shooting the scenes! It something I will never forget! I was #fanboying over them,” he added.
Lessons learned from this procedural drama series
On the lessons learned from this crime drama, he shared, “Well, it taught me I can stand up there no matter how intimidating the situation is.”
“I could stand strong and handle my own! It was an extremely humbling experience for me in all the right ways! All in all, it helped boost my confidence for myself as an actor and human being,” he explained.
Future plans
Regarding his future plans, he disclosed, “My plans are to continue to push for as an actor and challenge myself as much as I can as an actor.”
Fellows continued, “l have a handful of projects coming out that I’m very excited about such as ‘Water’s Edge,’ ‘Mr. Wonderful,’ ‘No Tears in Hell,’ ‘Burner,’ ‘Boss Me Around if you Dare,’ ‘Second Chances,’ and many more.”
“So, I have a lot of plans and I’m not stopping anytime soon,” he added.
Closing thoughts on ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’
For fans and viewers, Fellows expressed, “I hope they like the show, as well as Stabler and Benson as much as I do because it freaking rocks!”
“Everything from the cast and the crew, to the production, to the sets! All of it! Just freaking amazing! I’m so blessed for the opportunity,” he acknowledged.
“Since the season just started all I can say is buckle up! Because you are in for one hell of a ride for the rest of the season! Stay tuned,” Fellows foreshadowed.
