Enrique Iglesias is recovering following concert incident

One of Enrique Iglesias’ representatives spoke with The Associated Press on Sunday, May 31 to discuss the singer-songwriter’s ongoing recovery following the incident. His representative informed The Associated Press that Iglesias was “semi-treated” after the accident that occurred on Saturday night. The incident occurred at the side of the stage and Iglesias was treated to stop the bleeding that happened on Saturday night. Though Iglesias was advised to stop the concert, he continued to perform for an additional 30 minutes, The Associated Press reported. His representatives issued the following statement regarding the accident:

During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident,” the statement read. “He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show.

“He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist,” his representatives’ said in a statement via The Associated Press.

Currently, Iglesias is currently headlining his “Sex and Love Tour.” The tour is in support of the recording artist’s tenth studio album, Sex and Love. His next performance will be on July 3 in Mexico City at the National Auditorium Mexico City. The “Sex and Love Tour” is set to travel throughout the likes of Marbella, Spain, Monte Carlo, Monaco, and Istanbul, Turkey, among other international cities.
