Emmy award-winning actress Eva LaRue chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about her Daytime Emmy win and the upcoming Soap Con Live fan event, which will take place in May.

She won the 2020 Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series” for her acting work in The Young and The Restless for playing Celeste Rosales. “At first, it seemed like a bummer to be nominated for any award, since there was not going to be a ceremony in person, but I have to say that the best part of that night was that I was surrounded by family and friends,” she said.

“That was the best part of the night was that I actually won with everybody right there, so that was a super silver lining. That was really amazing, it was an incredible night,” she added.

She is thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Soap Con Live fan event, as part of the meet and greet sessions. Soap Con Live was co-created by Susan Eisenberg and Lacretia Lyon. “I am so glad they are doing this. It is going to be a lot of fun,” she said. “I will be doing the meet and greets and the video greetings for the fans. That will be a fun way to connect with the fans, especially now that we’ve gotten word that there will be a reboot of ‘Pine Valley’.”

On the title of the current chapter of her life, she said with a sweet laugh, “Incubation Period.” “I am celebrating just making it through the year,” she explaind.
