Teen DJ and electronic producer ELFIGO chatted about his new music and being a part of the digital age.

A 13-year-old music sensation, ELFIGO released his vibey new single “Can’t Let You Go,” on Friday, April 11th, via the dance music label Spinnin’ Records.

How did “Can’t Let You Go” come about?

Spinnin’ actually sent me the vocals and that guitar lead and told me, “Have fun with it.” I jumped straight into my setup and worked for hours non-stop.

At one point, the whole vibe just clicked. The tune came together like magic, and I instantly felt it had that summer energy—like something you’d play with the windows down or at a beach party. I knew it was the one.

What inspires your music and songwriting?

I’m super inspired by legends like James Hype, DJ Snake, Daft Punk, FredAgain and Skrillex. They all bring something unique—crazy energy, big drops, emotion, creativity.

I try to take a bit of that magic and mix it with my own style. I want my music to be fun but also powerful, something that gives you goosebumps and makes you dance at the same time.

How does it feel to be an artist in the digital age?

It’s actually dope. I mean, you can produce, release, and promote your music all from your bedroom.

I’m 13, and I’ve already got fans in places I’ve never even been to. Social media, streaming, all of it helps you connect with people instantly. But yeah, you’ve gotta stay focused and real—it’s easy to get lost in the noise.

What do your plans for the future include?

I want to be the youngest artist ever to play at festivals like Coachella, Burning Man, EDC, and Ultra. That’s the dream!

I’m also working on more tracks and ideas for crazy live show with visuals, lights, and surprises.

At some point, I’d love to create my own label where young producers can break the rules and drop unique stuff.

What is your advice for young and emerging artists?

Start now. Don’t wait until you feel “ready” because you’ll always keep learning. Mess around, try new sounds, and just keep going.

Watch videos, ask questions, and make what you wanna hear. Being different is what makes you stand out.

Were there any moments in your career that have helped define you?

To be honest, I don’t even feel like I have a career yet—it’s just getting started. But there are a couple of moments that really changed everything for me.

Playing at The Gathering at Tomorrowland in 2024 was insane. I felt like, “Yo, this is what I wanna do forever.” The crowd, the love, the emotion — it hit me hard.

Then, like two weeks ago, I played the Fun Radio Ibiza Experience in front of 20,000 people. That was even crazier. So much energy, so much emotion. This is what I live for.

Where do you see electronic music in the next five years?

It’s gonna be wild. I think we’ll see even more creative mixes of genres and sounds—like Tech House with pop, or melodic stuff with crazy drops.

Also, visuals and tech will level up big time, maybe even with VR or AI. But I hope the feeling behind the music stays real. That connection is what matters most.

Which artists would you like to do a dream collab with someday?

James Hype, for sure—his energy is next level. Fred Again.. because his stuff is so emotional and honest. Skrillex because he’s a legend and still pushing limits.

Martin Solveig would be amazing too, and why not Billie Eilish? Her vibes are crazy and totally unique.

What does the word success mean to you?

For me, success is making music that connects with people. If someone listens to my track and feels something—joy, emotion, energy—that’s the real win.

It’s not just about numbers or charts, it’s about impact. And staying true to yourself while growing.

What would you like to say to your fans about your new music?

Thank you so much for all the support. “Can’t Let You Go” is super special to me, and I hope it gives you that feeling of freedom, love, and summer vibes.

There’s a lot more music coming, and I’m just getting started. Let’s ride this wave together!
